I. The formula of the specialty Processes and equipment of chemical technology - a branch of science and technology, which is based on the fundamental laws of conservation, equilibrium and transfer of momentum, energy and mass, and investigates mechanical, hydromechanical, thermal, mass transfer and diffusion-controlled chemical processes. relevant equipment and studies their micro- and macrokinetic characteristics in order to intensify and improve existing and create new processes and equipment. II. Areas of research

  1. Theoretical and experimental studies of mechanical processes of grinding, classification, mixing of solid and bulk materials and equipment for their implementation; setting the parameters necessary for the creation of new equipment (crushers, mills, mixers, classifiers, etc.).
  2. Theoretical and experimental studies of hydromechanical processes: separation in the field of gravitational, inertial, centrifugal, electrostatic forces, in the field of pressure forces, etc .; mixing of liquid systems; fluidization, coagulation and granulation of dispersed systems; other processes of hydromechanical treatment of gases and liquids (in particular, processes of purification of emissions and effluents) and equipment for their implementation; setting the parameters necessary for the creation of new equipment (settling tanks, cyclone devices, centrifuges, filtering equipment, electrostatic precipitators, mechanical stirring devices, fluidized bed devices, granulators and coagulators, special separate devices, including foam, etc.).
  3. Theoretical and experimental studies of heat and mass transfer processes of heat transfer in gas and liquid systems; heating to moderate and high and cooled to moderate and low temperatures; heat transfer during phase transformations (in particular during bubbling and fluidization), at high speeds, in the presence of internal heat sources; thermal radiation; mass transfer in gas and liquid systems, solid phase systems; absorption and desorption; distillation, rectification and distillation; adsorption; liquid extraction and solid phase extraction; mass transfer in systems with a fixed phase separation limit; drying; crystallization from solutions and melts; general bases of calculation of heat and mass transfer equipment. Establishment of basic parameters necessary for the creation of new equipment (heat exchangers, including condensers, evaporators, refrigeration equipment, dryers, column apparatus and installations, including absorption and distillation, crystallizers, extractors, apparatus using dispersed systems, separation membranes, etc.).
  4. Theoretical and experimental studies of diffusion-controlled chemical processes (including plasma-chemical, low- and high-temperature and those occurring at high pressure and / or temperature). Establish the basic parameters required for the selection, design or construction of reactors of different types and purposes (including reactors with solid phase, stationary, mobile or fluidized bed)
